Daimler inks partnership deal in Iraq
Iraq's State Company for Automotive Industry has signed a partnership agreement with German automaker Daimler for the supply of complete Mercedes-Benz trucks and assembly kits. Under the deal, Daimler will supply tools and equipment for truck assembly and provide technical support on site, the company said in a statement. The partnership follows setting up a representative office in Baghdad in February 2009 to determine the market opportunities for trucks and buses in Iraq and coordinating the negotiations for the partnership agreement.
